The first season of the inaugural FPL season finally came to an end and the award ceremony saw over 3000 Hive shared among the winners. Hardly did we expect such an amazing turn out and a lot of the credit goes to our sponsors.
Even before the end of last season, we had already started engaging in conversations about potential changes and improvements that we will be adding to the league. In this publication, I'll be running through a couple of changes that we will be making in this new season's Hive FPL mini league.
Last season saw us start the league season with a one-tier classic league with all participants vying for the same prize. This meant that while we had so many awesome teams in the competition, the biggest prizes were only shared between the top 10 of the classic league.
This season, we are switching things up but only slightly, as we introduce multiple head to head leagues in different tiers. Each participant from last season will be placed into a tier based on their performance last season, while every new entrant will be going straight to the bottom tier.
One of our biggest aims of this project is to bring the joy of football into the community through fantasy football and we believe that this head to head league will definitely add to that. We also intend to be around for a very long time and have the ambition of growing into a tokenised community one day.
Anyway, your position in the three tiers will be determined by your final position in the final season. The issue is, there were over 100 players last season but only 86 were eligible because they had Hive accounts, so we will keep the spot of all the intelligible teams until two weeks to the start of the season.
If your team participated in last season's tournament and you registered your Hive username, your spot in your tier is automatically saved. However, we will have to contact you privately to give you a secret code for your league that should not be shared.
The classic league will stay as it is but the only difference is that the reward sharing will be different. However, what is important to note is that everyone is invited to participate.
There are no restrictions to joining the Classic league but just like last season, you need a Hive account to be eligible for prizes. The league code will be published publically and will also be pinned in the Discord chat when the new season starts.
All participants are encouraged but not compelled to join the Hive FPL and Football community on Hive blockchain. All publications, match previews, analysis and reports will be shared in this community.
We also want to encourage the community to publish regularly on in the community. Let it be your go to location for any football related content.
It is our hope that people will start looking our direction for any football related content. We also want the place to be fun and lively, so we will be hosting weekly press releases from Hive FPL participants that will earn random rewards.
So, basically, prior to the start of a game week, Hive FPL participants will be encouraged to publish posts about their opponent, their tactics and anything they're willing to share for the coming week and beyond. There's no particular format, so whether it is pictures, video, text or even voicenote, you're encouraged to share it in the community.
In the long run, we will be bringing some of the banter we enjoyed in the discord into Hive and increase engagement in the community.
Prizes are yet to be decided but what we know for sure is as follows;
We are open to sponsorship of any kind; whether it is logistics or funding. We assure you that every bit of the funding will go towards growing the project, strengthening the community and ultimately beneficial to Hive as a whole.
We will need the full participation and cooperation of the community to make it work. Please engage and participate in every way you can.
As a participant, your main responsibility is to have fun and ensure we have a welcoming and competitive space. Friendly banter is allowed but don't cross any lies and be open-minded to interact with a variety of cultures.
The league codes are not yet available but when they are, please don't share the head to head league code with anyone.
We really need some voting weight to support good content in the community.
Maybe a voting trail would be a good place to start?
It's here again😂
I joined in the last season but didn't know the steps to becoming fully eligible but here I am now ready to take it to the finish line having fun 😹
I'm a bit confused here sir @hivefpl
Does this mean I've successfully joined everyone I need to join?
And I'm seeing, Hive division 2, is it that I'm in Tier 2?
About this also, am I still expecting a code or I'm good to go?
Please let there be a vote, that is the only way to determine who is who. let us do it to have some fun.😀
