In The Weeds

There's a term they use in the kitchen world called "in the weeds". Perhaps they use it other fields too and if that is the case, that's where I have been this morning. It's been pretty much non stop since I stepped into my office and that has kept me from getting this post out as quickly as I had wanted to. Instead, I have been putting out fires all over the district and trying to get caught up on my main HIVE account from the poignant post that I made yesterday. I never anticipated this many comments and I am starting to understand what some of the bigger accounts go through on a daily basis.

It's no wonder they don't get the chance to visit many other posts!

So the college softball weekend continues today. The Radford University softball team made the drive from Virginia to Alabama and they are getting ready for their first game of the day in about fifteen minutes.

They are starting their weekend off with a game against Central Arkansas University and though our niece is not in the starting lineup for that game, it is possible she will be brought in halfway through the game to take over. We have seen that happen several times in the Fall games that we watched down in Virginia.

I know she has been putting in a ton of hard work, so I hope she gets the chance to shine this weekend.

I have been watching a ton of olympics lately. There is a channel that has a program called Gold Zone that runs pretty much all day during the olympic games. I have been watching that a bit. As you can see from the opening image, they cover a wide range of events often highlighting one or two and expanding the view for a few moments before going back to the grid view.

It's a great way to keep track of everything that is happening all at once. It's all in real time too, so often when we get home at night the events that they are running in primetime are things that already took place earlier in the day, so they aren't that interesting to me.

There is also a pretty big game tonight between Michigan State and Wisconsin. It shouldn't be a big game, but the way Michigan State has been playing, they need this win to solidify their position in the Big Ten. It should be a fairly easy game for them, but we have seen them struggle in the past on games that should have been easy.

They can't afford another loss to an unranked team. Losing to Michigan is one thing as they are in the top 5, but losing to an unranked team is hard to recover from. Thankfully they had that big win over Illinois last weekend.

That's all I've got for today. I've gotta get back to work, but I hope you find something awesome to watch this weekend and I hope your team wins!
