POULTRY FARM AND PROPER BIRDS HOUSING.

I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.

To begin with, I want to make this clear in a simple term and language. Some Poultry farmers do not know or haven't come to realize that the success rete of rearing Broiler birds is mostly determine by the pen housing system. If you ask me, a proper housing system needs to averagely fit any condition that may occur or arise during the time of breeding this birds.

Let me tell you one of the reasons why proper housing system is important when raising Broiler birds. Do you know broiler birds in their day old tend to love a warm environment while when they older they love the environment of the Pen cooler because they are allergic to heat? So there must be a proper housing system for the pen that will suits or meets averagely all conditions.

What are proper housing system for be considered for raising Broiler birds?

As earlier stated, things to be considered to have a healthy and proper housing system for broiler birds are;

• Making sure that the pen floor is well above the ground level such that water from underground won't find its way into the pen floor.

• Also, making sure the roof of the pen is high that heat from the pen roof wouldn't have effect on the birds most especially when they are 4 weeks and above.

• Moreso, it's important to make sure that the pen has good air flow such that there's enough ventilation in the pen environment.

• The pen floor surface must have a smooth one so that it would be easy to clean up the birds dropping. Pen with rough floor surface makes it hard for droppings to be cleaned up properly.

• Good lighting management is also Important in the pen housing system. Though that's not important during the day but it is necessary at night.
