Rivers at a normal flowing currents normally have their paths carved out and they normally flow through this path , sometimes things can go bad for farmers around this Rivers and the river begins to over flow, flowing into farms, house and even fish ponds .

Every year there are farmers from my place who suffer severe loss as a result of this ,but some farmers are already finding ways to live with it and adjust their farming to suit that part of the farming community.

Some of this adjustment include planting early ,the flood is not all year it actually happens when there's consistent and heavy rainfall over a long period.so if you plant early then what I have planted would have grown tall and firm before the river comes.

The second adjustment plan is for me to plant crops that are tall like maize and Guinea corn now these whole idea can work because the river isn't staying long in the farm within two days it is completely drained up so the plant can survive this kind of condition.

You might ask questions like why not search for another land? Well it is because the land is very fertile and good and you are to find any land as fertile as this then you have to go deep into the forest part , although the land here too is good but you will have problems with monkeys around those areas and this monkeys can sometimes cause the most damage to the farm.
