Work life and personal life are two important aspects of our lives that mustn't be joked with but be taken seriously so we can enjoy life and our work to the fullest. We all know that without work, it'll be quite difficult to survive in this world of ours; the same is the case when it comes to our personal life: not giving it effort, time, and attention can lead to breakdowns that'll go on to affect our overall well-being, and that's why we as adults must take steps that ensure we strike a balance between both aspects of our lives. In this article today I'll be talking extensively on this and how I personally manage both so as not to have one lagging behind.

I understand the fact that we all want a better life and want to enjoy the luxury that comes from that, but then we know that might not come to reality if we refuse to work or put in great effort into our work so it can yield great results that take us to the destination we desire. However, what we don't know is that we mustn't be overall dedicated to our work life to the point where it affects the dedication we give to our personal life. I've been in a situation whereby I was so overwhelmed with work, and the results were nothing to write home about.
Back then, even though I was earning more, I can tell for a fact that my life literally became a shadow of itself. From affecting the time I've had to spend with my family and loved ones to distancing me from communication with my maker, it even got to a point where I could hardly pinpoint a time I genuinely smiled or enjoyed my day throughout those periods. Things only changed for good when I started reducing how much I invested into work and gave my personal life some time; that helped me a lot in the aspects of health, wellness, and genuine happiness.
So to strike a balance between work life and our physical well-being, we need to be very intentional about both and make sure we don't place one above the other. As much as work is important and earns us money, so is our well-being, and that's why we must make sure we do all it takes to strike a balance, because at the end of the day, if we fail to strike a balance between our work life and physical well-being, one will ultimately lag behind. Take for instance if you mainly prioritize your work, you'll get it to a point where your body can't take it anymore and it'll break down. At that point, you won't even have the strength to work and will have no choice but to take a break.

So overall, we must be intentional and take both seriously; if possible, lay down a timetable for when to do both so as to be even, and most of all, know when to stop or take a break from either one so your life can be exciting.

You're right. Just thinking about how to balance our work and personal life is not enough, we need to put it into practice and be intentional about it.
It is true that both are somewhat important parts of our lives, but it also true that one cannot work without the other. Poor health can do close to nothing in a good work environment. So regardless, our health should be a top priority.
Truly said. In our pursue for money, our health should be prioritized as health is wealth.
That's just it... Knowing when to take a break remains the best strategy to me not taking oneself to be like a clock that doesn't stop unless the battery spoils or weakens
Exactly, Intentionality is the key, or else one might just break down from an overload of work. You've made a valid point. Thanks for sharing
One time I worked in a sachet and bottle water company it was hell, there was no way I could balance a job I report to at 4am and close by 11pm with my personal life, I had no personal life that period.
