The Marvels Of Modern Tech: My Top Life-Changing Inventions

The topic about the advancement of the world is one I run out of words to use in expressing how much better the world have become thanks to the countless inventions that humans have come up with. When I think of where it all began, the present day invention (AI), I wonder how advance the world would be in a millennium (100 years).

So many things were invented even before the inventions that have made history and our present world be a better one to live in. I'm a beneficiary of the great inventions of past times and in these times, there are some I may not even be aware they exist but for the ones I know, I won't be able to share my favourites fairly at all.

For every invention I use directly and indirectly, these are on my top list but in no particular order and I'm sure I'll forget to mention some that are even of more use to me but it's exciting to write about some of the inventions on my top list.

According to my small research for this prompt, sometime in 1876, the telephone was invented and people had real-time communication over long distances instead of relying on written letters and long time to get them. I can't imagine how amazing this invention must have been to the people of old considering the stress before.

Many years later, one of my favourite inventions was brought to existence, Internet in 1960 and this invention has up till this day allowed connection in the world, facilitating global communication and information is shared more easily and faster. While this invention came with downsides, the upsides are beyond important.

I was actually surprised to learn that we got to have Smartphones in the year 2007 and I got to have my first ever smart phone in 2017, ten years later. It was from that year, we had the internet and everything computer in our pockets for easy access and use. Computers also came in the mid 20th century with greater use of the Internet. I'd say the smartphone is one of my favourites too.

In late 19th century, Electricity replaced light bulbs in illuminating pit homes, workplaces and devices (phones and computer). I'm still amazed at this invention for so many reasons. It is one of the best invention that elevated the lives of humans by higher percent. Even now, the solar system form of creating electricity is impressive.

There is also the invention that upgraded from Wheel (chariots from camels) before we had better Transportation for trade and personal use like the Automobiles and the most impressive invention for transportation is the Airplanes that was invented in the early 20th century which has allowed faster and longer distance travel today.

In every aspect of life, there are great inventions that have made it easy for humans, Refrigerators and Water treatment for healthier living, Sewing machines that have improved our fashion sense. Medicines and surgical procedures to advance, not replace herbal medications. I have lost count of them but I appreciate the work put into them. Looking forward to greater inventions to come.
