Welcome back to these week prompt on Scifi Multiverse community i have a lot to say regarding the pollution in my environment
Every day, I go to work in an environment that’s becoming harder to ignore not because of the job itself, but because of the pollution surrounding it. The water in the area is completely unsafe. It’s polluted, dark, and smells terrible. Just walking past it makes me feel uneasy, and I can’t help but worry about the effect it’s having on my health.

Behind the workplace, there’s a stream where water constantly flows, but instead of being clean and natural, it’s filled with waste. The stream is always polluted with dirty water and substances that could easily carry diseases. It’s not only an eyesore but a serious health hazard for everyone around.
The pollution here isn’t hidden or subtle it’s right in front of us. You can see it in the water, smell it in the air, and feel the discomfort in your body after spending hours near it. And yet, nothing seems to be done about it. Day after day, we work in this same environment, knowing it’s harmful but feeling helpless to change it.
What’s more frustrating is that no one is talking about it. There are people here every day, breathing in polluted air, walking past contaminated water, and risking their health. We need awareness. We need action. And we need to start taking the health of workers and local communities more seriously.
Pollution is not just a global issue it’s right here, affecting real people in real places, like my workplace. It’s time we stop ignoring it.
Thanks for taking your time to read my post hope to see you next time @mathewdaddywah blog

SDG 6, Target 6.3-- Access to clean water and sanitation.
Globally, 2.2 billion people lack access to safely managed drinking water (UN, 2023)
There is a greater need to intensify top-down and bottom-up action to address this issue.
SDG 11- Sustainable cities and communities.
The lack of dialogue and action reflects weak community engagement and governance, critical for sustainable urban development. Unfortunately, there is apathy in governance as well as lack of behavioral equity from the public at large.
Thanks for your comment
Apart from the smell, it is unsafe to stay near something like this. Unknown reptiles might be living in places like this. This swamp looks similar to a canal.
Yea so dirty the people living around the area even dump thier poops there
Hmmmm disgusting 🤮
This really worth to worry about
Is really bad, there's no how someone won't inhale the smell
Environmental official suppose to have find solution to this and they should banned anyone throwing dirty there.
Government inpray they listen
The saddest thing is that no one is talking about this, as if it's not an issue. The way you have highlighted the need for awareness is very important. Pollution is destroying both our health and our future.
Yes it is slowly eating away our health
This is heartbreaking, honestly. No one should have to work or live near something that toxic. The fact that you walk past that stream every day and nothing is being done? That’s failure on every level. We always talk about pollution like it’s some big abstract issue, but you’ve shown it’s right in front of us, hurting real people. Thanks for speaking up. More people need to see this and start caring before it gets worse.
Yes it annoying
It's so sad to see this. There should be a proper action taken to control this
It can start from your workplace, from you or me. From everyone
True
Pollution is dangerous to human health, it's unsafe and also a slow killer and it keeps becoming so normal in some environments, and that's really bad.
