The Unseen Value Of Everyday Life: Appreciating What We Have.

This is such a thought provoking one, and I can say all of the things that seems to make life meaningful and important aren't that fancy and loud, talk of relationships, health, family and such, they are things that are present there in our lives and day to day activities, yet they seem to not exist. Like, we really don't pay attention to them.

Not as if we don't see them, but we actually see it as too normal to really be bothered about them, not untill one of it goes missing or has issues. That is when we start noticing it and paying attention to it, and that's if it's not too late by then.

I understand the world we live in, it's not so easy. We are so focused on making a living, so busy sourcing for funds and some level of comfort, while thinking there will always be time to check up on family or to rest or to check in on our health, but life as we all know will always have a bit of a different script form ours, and when it's it time to play it's own part we often get shocked and eventually see the value of what we've lost or get to see that a relationship can no longer be mended.

And this is coming form a very personal place, I've ha dmy own fair share with health challenges. There was a time I just do things as I like, I see the good health and everything as normal and went about my day. Not until life decided to play its own script too, that was when I understood what good health really is, and a lot of us don't really hold much meaning to it. Good health is a gift, of you have it, value it. Some of us have had to experience some high level of pain to see it's meaning and value it. I no longer joke with simple things like breathing, eating, walking and all of that as I've seen and experienced how much of a work it can be when you are bedridden and have to be helped to do every single thing....I mean every single thing.

And that experience has made me see each day as a gift, while keeping my hopes alive that I will be here by tomorrow as well. It's good to plan ahead, it is also good to enjoy each and every moment, same way it is good to appreciate that which we have as well. One thing I will love to add is that we build the future by that which we do today, but the present is where we are in and that (the present) happens to be where life is really lived. So,. appreciate it, rest when needed, check in on loved ones, hold no grudges, settle differences and be at peace with yourself.

Both the present that we are in and the future we are planning for is important, so we don't need to choose one over the other, but to value both before life teaches us the hard way, and we are now forced to learn the hard way. You gerrit...

I think both the future and the past works hand in hand, the past will always have a way of affecting the future.

You nailed it all Millie.... Until we lose access to these things or people in our lives, we mostly don't take note of the severe gap we've created
