Well, this particular saying has most times proven to be true in my dealings and walk in life.... Don't judge a book by it's cover. A simple yet deep saying I must admit.

Well, I remember meeting a lady back then who I thought within me was proud and unfriendly. I saw her and judged her almost immediately. Even though I'm the very friendly type, I didn't even want to move close to her or have anything to do with her. I also noticed the way she acts too, always on her own, keeping a straight face, barely talk and all, she hardly talk to her female colleagues self, I just felt huhm.... She's the type that looks down on others and such, so stay on your lane while I maintain mine too.
Well, it just so happened that she was assigned to the group I was, and as the president I don't have any option than to work with her. I'm actually close to almost all of my members, and I don't know how to roll well with others while I single her out. Still, I didn't want anything aside whatever task we need to do. Long story short, after having to do about three to four tasks together I found out that she can be very friendly too, she's just the type who likes to take her time to study her environment and feel comfortable first.

In short, she turned out to be one of the most thoughtful and dependable people I've ever met. She's a listener, she keeps to her word, and she's always ready to help out. So first impressions, believe me it can hide what a real person actually is. And ever since then I've been trying my best to give people some time before deciding who they really are. Everyone has a story and an experience, so most people are always very careful when they are in a new environment or situation.
And about having a good first impression, it doesn't really need to be anything grand or big. Just a smile, warm greeting, and little stuffs like that is okay. People will always remember how you made them feel and aside from that, there are people we meet once and that's the last time we will ever see, not for death or something bad, it's just that your path will only cross once, so that first impression is what would stay with the other person.
