This prompt reminded me of something, the plans I made when I was younger.
I thought I had life figured out.
I finished high school before I turned 18, and in my young mind, I already had the next chapters neatly arranged.
I would gain admission.
I would graduate at 21.
I would get a good job.
Then, of course, life would continue according to plan.
Simple.
At least, that was the script I had written for myself. What I didn't know was that life doesn't always follow the script we write.

Somewhere along the way, things didn't happen as quickly or as smoothly as I had imagined. The admission I expected didn't come when I thought it would.
I mean, I had to write jamb for three years. And somehow, the timeline I had carefully calculated began to shift.
And you know, when your peers seem to be moving ahead while you are still trying to figure things out, it can be difficult not to question yourself.
"What am I doing wrong?"
"Why is my life taking this long?"
"When will it finally be my turn?"
I have asked myself some of these questions.
There were moments when I felt like I was behind.
But with time, I began to understand something:
Being delayed is not the same as being defeated.
Life has a strange way of taking us through roads we never planned to travel.
Sometimes, the detour teaches you things the straight road never could.
The girl who thought she would have everything figured out by 21 has grown into a woman who understands that life cannot always be measured by timelines.
Today, I may not be exactly where my younger self imagined I would be.
But I am here.
Still learning.
Still growing.
Still dreaming.
Still trying.
Still standing strong.
And perhaps that is something worth celebrating too.
We often celebrate the people who reached their destinations early, but we don't talk enough about the people who had to take the longer road and still found the courage to keep walking.
Your journey may not look like the plan you made at 17.Mine doesn't.And that's okay.
Maybe life isn't asking us to follow a perfect script.
Maybe it is asking us to keep turning the pages, even when we don't know what the next chapter holds.
Because sometimes, the most beautiful parts of our story are the ones we never planned.
So, if your life hasn't gone according to the timeline you once imagined, don't be too hard on yourself.
You are not necessarily behind.
You are simply living a story that wasn't written according to your original plan.
And as for me?
I'm still writing mine.
Thanks for reading my blog today..
