The manner of people's living, all behaviors attitudes or things which we human beings engage in a particular society, what we learn meaning we are basically not born with it, it was indoctrinated into us at the process of growing, such behaviors could range from how we dress to how we greet to how we even give out handshake to people to the our type of foods, to our dancing steps and many more, I classify such as culture. We even have music that is pattern to certain culture, we have ways or marrying someone which is also pattern to different culture, and when we are talking about the greetings for the Igbos they use hand fan to greet themselves in the air, for the Yoruba they lie flat on the floor to greet, there are even some culture that just greet without any added activities, for the food aspect which is quiet rampant and well known that's we know which tribe and what tribe eats certain kind of food. To be sincere culture entails alot more than the knowledge we have about it, culture means deeper sensible things than we attribute it to be, so for today we would be discussing about culture so stay tuned as you listen.
Because of the existence of acculturation I am not only practicing my own culture but I have adopted other cultures into my way of life, I have started learning how to eat food that a plateau man is eating, I now eat food that an Yoruba person is eating, apart from that my mode of dressing speaks volumes of an English man mode of dressing, when I speak I do not always speak my tribe but English language and all this is because of acculturation, I am from the east so I am Igbo by tribe and my practicing culture suppose to be in that aspect but because we have learned other people culture we tend to adopt it.
My country is Nigeria and here in Nigeria we have many ethnic groups with many cultural activities just like the yam festivals which is done in the east by the Igbos where they harvest their Yams and bring some for celebration to the gods before they start eating it, we also have the masquerades day celebration done in mist tribes not only attributed to a particular culture, where these masquerade would come out in a specific day with their radiant and colorful attires display as they move around for a particular reason.
We also practice a this cultural activities known as Christmas and new year festivals although this one is categorized to our religious culture, and when I say religion I mean the christians tradition, these practice is well known, well celebrated, it's origin comes from their religion beliefs and practices, apart from the main reason why we celebrate these festivals we Nigerians have also incorporated it to be an avenue where we reunite with people we have not seen for long, family members, friends and many more activities are done during such period. So this and many more are they cultural activities we do from my country.

The significance of culture can't be overemphasized. It does a lot especially in the area of unity. Certain ceremonies and festivals are moments where people get to know themselves more. What creates this platform is the culture.
My dad is Igbo, but I grew up in the west. I love both the Igbo culture and the Yoruba culture. Although they are different, they are both beautiful.
I am Igbo born in a yoruba land, and I can rightly say all cultures are beautiful in their unique way. Being a food explorer and a cook, I've learned to try other traditional dishes from Nigeria and other African culture.
