Individualising Environmental Sanitation

Pollution is one of the many problems our environment is facing today. Despite numerous efforts put in place by government and other agencies to curb this menace, there is still room for improvement.

Pollution can be in various forms like Air pollution, water pollution, Land pollution and even Noise pollution.

They are all bad with each presenting it's own challenge and requiring a different approach to tackle.

We as individuals need to play our part individually to prevent or reduce pollution. If all hands are on deck then the outcome will be tremendous generally.
If everyone took care of his own house and surroundings then we would have very little problems.
Regular and I proper waste disposal as and at when due will go a long way.

Of all the forms of pollution, I feel air pollution is the worst. This is because regardless of the condition, you have to breathe in air, whether good or bad.

One can delay taking water till he finds a clean one or even go several miles to fetch water for cooking and all that. But once the air is involved, you have to breathe in and breathe out. You can't help it.
Also bad air may still be colourless and the only time you would even discover it was bad is after inhaling it.
All these makes air pollution difficult to avoid and as such we must ensure to try our best and limit it.

One of the ways we can reduce pollution is by being conscious of our waste disposal. Throw wastes into designated containers.
Another way will be to reduce the frequency of open burning and smoking.

Sometimes people decide to go a little distance from their own house before discarding waste thereby endangering others. Such practice should also stop.
These are just a few things we can do to contribute our quota to environmental sanitation.

Of course! If we become more aware of things like this, using a bin and all, maybe it will all get better.
