There is a very popular saying that says, "health is wealth". A lot of us do not value the good health that we have enough until we have a little challenge with our health. I could remember sometimes towards the middle of March, I was removing the dirt(earwax) in my ears and after I was done, there was a blockage in my left hear which resulted into partial deafness and was later causing discomfort for me and this lasted for two weeks even with the medication (eardrop and other tablets drug) that was prescribed for me when I got to the clinic. During these period of time, I was unable to hear clearly until I move closer to the person. Then I remembered the saying that I said at the beginning of this post. Majority of us do not appreciate the sound health that we have, it is those who are on the sick bed that can say it all.

Another saying that we are all familiar with is, "Prevention is better that cure." Which I also refers to as preventive maintenance of our body. But in the real sense of it, how many people in the world today abide by this? Even when we feel perfectly alright, how many of us do take our health seriously and go to the hospital or clinic for a regular check up? It it when you are seeing the signs that your body is collapsing before you go for the corrective and reactive maintenance of the body?
Are you not guilty of this?
I have heard that the hospital usually cause anxiety for some people. I have a friend like that who hates going near the hospital because she told me that her BP tends to increase anytime she is around the hospital area. She really did not open up what the reason was for her. But I've thought of it, maybe she sat in the waiting room seeing how a lot of patients were coming and going, hearing some of the hospital incident which resulted to worry heavy on her heart, or maybe her first visit was filled with unimaginable experience. Who knows maybe a lot of people feels this way too? But what if going to the hospital or clinic didn't have to be filled with those experiences? What if it was a way of admitting and saying, "I care enough about my health, I need to go for this regular checkup".
Sadly, a lot of us here in this part of the world find it very difficult to go for a regular check ups, even if it is being done free because, vast majority of people have built up that mentality of saying, "if you go for the checkup, they will just detect another problem in your body". But which is better, finding another problem on time or allowing it to build up? This anxiety which is either fueled by the word of the mouth or personal experience has kept a lot of people from proactive health.
I'll asked, should we really be anxious or we should care about knowing the truth about our bodies?
In my experience, preventive maintenance of our body system is much more better than corrective and reactive maintenance of the body, which might be too late. Early detection saves lives that is just the honest truth.
If we all endeavour to go for frequent check up and the doctors discovers something new, such thing can be treated easily. But imagine if ignored for a long time, it might been too late. Through discomfort, through fatigue, through symptoms, that is how our bodies speaks to us. But if we go for a frequent check ups, there's going to be adequate solution to what the body needs.
The act of taking a bold step to check yourself whether an issue is fond or not simply means that you care about yourself, you care about those around you be it family or those who depend on you, and that is self love. Love for life itself.
So, my fellow Hivers and followers, what do you really think about going to the hospital for a frequent medical checkups? Is not to know the present medical condition of the body if it's okay than to take actions when the body system is collapsing and the illness can no longer be cured?
Your health will forever remain your through wealth and taking responsibility of it is much more better. No cause for worry, make that appointment with a certified doctor and trust me, your future self will appreciate it.

Health is wealth and there is no two ways about that, you can only keep your wealth when you are healthy.
I've learnt the hard way that regular check up is better than playing ignorant hoping that it will all go away if you don't know about it.
Prevention is always better than cure, no argument there.
