The Essence Of Life, The Search For Purpose

One question that had burdened my heart for so long is "why am I here, what was I created for?". This is because our existence seems to be a programmed circle, filled with pain, happiness, struggle, fear, and the desire to survive. Unfortunately, life is a mystery, no one has been able to decipher it, we live hoping our daily struggle is worth it at one point. This struggle begins as a child, filled with dreams and expectations, but as we grow old, we realize life isn't a bed of roses, nothing comes as easy as we had expected, there's always a price for every milestone achieved.

But then, it was not so from the beginning, with each era men had evolved, greed and wickedness growing deep roots in the heart of men. More than half of the struggles we go through are as a result of men's rule. A system built by men where they want all for themselves, and preconditions to filter people they classified as weak and strong. God created everything for our benefits, but certain men had dominated this with the saying of hierarchy. This struggle for power, fame, and relevance comes with one evil- Deafening the power of love.

Why do we struggle so hard if one fate awaits us all? This struggle to survive has denied us the beauty of fulfilling purpose or the desire to seek purpose. To many, accumulating wealth is the goal, but then, they realize sorrow still lies at the Tale end. A poor family sometimes still finds joy in the little things they do, but then, does happiness connotes fulfillment of purpose?. What is this purpose? You may be tempted to ask, and might have asked yourself why you were created. It's not enough to be born, grow up, attend the best school, gain wealth, get married, give birth to children, grow old and die. I doubt if this circle was why men were created.

In the search of purpose, see the earth as a kingdom, and you're sent here from another kingdom to be her ambassador in this kingdom where you're a stranger. This earth already has her rulers who govern it. It wouldn't be an easy task trying to promote the kingdom you come from in a kingdom where you're a stranger with other rulers governing it. Trials will come, but your one duty is to promote that kingdom you come from. You mustn't be a preacher, but wear the costume of the kingdom you represent in your speech, your conduct, your attitude etc. until you're able to win someone over to your master. Man's only purpose is to do the commands of who he represents. But as long as you're here, vicissitudes will set in, not because they should, but because men weren't designed to decipher life's mystery.
