IMPORTANCE OF SKILLS AND HAND CRAFT

Hello #scifimultiverse friends, I trust that your week is going well. Without blinking an eyelid, handicraft can be defined as the ability to make items manually, with or without relying heavily on machines. It includes artisans who acquire skills through apprenticeship or formal training. Sometimes, such creativity is amazing because the skills are honed over time through consistent repetition of different tasks, leading to their mastery and expertise for future establishments. It can be in the form of sewing, bead-making, handcrafted bags, various forms of weaving, pottery, blacksmithing, and furniture making, among others.
Engaging in the art of handcraft can clear one's mind and allow full focus on creativity and originality. This is because of clusters of imitation and copy-and-paste art online. Once it is online, everybody will start copying and pasting, but when it is manually orchestrated, the feeling of originality and fulfilment comes with it. Again, it creates an environment of freedom and clarity towards the set goal. It also creates room for flexibility with ideas being adjusted until a perfect match is achieved.

For example, during the send-off of one of our management staff, the merit award given to him was designed by our team and the handcrafted designer who continued to make adjustments to the plaque until our goal was met.
Conversely, digital skills always have issues of originality. Individuals rely heavily on ChatGPT, and as a result, many have become lazy in being creative and applying themselves during work. I remember after our training on ChatGPT in my workplace, sometimes after submitting reports and some assignments, my boss would quickly ask me if I used ChatGPT, and when I said no, he would want to validate the report with ChatGPT until I was forced to throw more light on the consequences of heavy reliance on ChatGPT to him. Most often, there are trademark, licensing, and copyright issues with digital skills.
Furthermore, digital skills evolve quickly, are replaced or phased out, and therefore pose a risk of irrelevance. It also costs money to upgrade to trending skills, but in manual skills, creativity, tweak, and tact are needed to remain relevant. Just look at the clothing industry, they are just recycling ideas and creativity to trend. Most of the fashions coming back have reigned in the past. At the moment, I do not have any of these skills, but I am currently seizing the opportunity of the launch of the rigid factory in my workplace to acquire rigid manual box-making skills.

Some of the casual staff who joined the business when we established and are quick to master the skills of making manual boxes have launched their own outfit with little funds and are doing well.
In conclusion, acquiring handcrafted skills is an open door to a future personal business establishment. It will also prepare the minds of willing individuals and pave the way for great service delivery by such individuals to society and the world at large when they are flexible, prudent, and diligent. However, a combination of the two, the digital skills and handcrafts will make an individual a prudent and incredible entrepreneur in the making.
