Well, tradition is also part of culture that has been passed down from generation to generation..
Recently, a king also spoke ill against the masquerade that females are not allowed to look; he said they ought to do it in the jungle if they are against a particular gender seeing them.

That's quite daring, I think the purpose of parading the masquerade is to look for someone they can sacrifice for their masquerade whatever, and that's pretty fucked up, especially in this age and stage.
