[Movie] Movie Review: 3 Working Days.

Welcome once again to my blog; as you all know, I would always come with an interesting movie review, one that will be worth your time. Today it is a movie titled "3 Working Days." Yeah, a very interesting movie, I must say. It is a movie that follows the story of Onari. You all know Deyemi Okanlawon, right? Well, he acted as Onari.

Onari happens to be a young guy who's had a past life he's moved on from and now doing his best to do an honorable work and take very good care of his family. But suddenly, he lost his wife to the cold hands of death. An armed robbery happened close to where he parked his car; his wife and child were there in the car as he stepped out to do something. Before he returned, his wife had been shot, and his child was badly injured.

Seeing how that he could still save his son, he rushed him to the hospital, treatment was going on and he needed money to pay his bills and make sure his treatment does not stop, that was how he made his way to the bank, he's still having s good amount of money in his account and wanted to withdraw, but then he was told he would need to wait for three working days before he could have access to his money, reason being that the bank is having problems and there's cas issues in the country too. Well, Onari wouldn't have it. His child didn't have that much time. How dare they tell him to wait three working days for his money.

And in the quest to save his dying son, he becomes desperate, so desperate that he went to his former boss to seek for help, well the boss only offers to help if only he could join them in another operation, which he turned down, but has he wa being told he would need to deposit some amount of money else his child treatment would stop, his desperation grew, so he took matters into his own hands. He made his plan to kind of rob that bank, and it was all to just get his money out, not to kill or do anything else outside of that. Well, he began the operation only for him to find out he's not the only robber; some others came to rob the bank too, and amongst them he found the person who killed his wife. There the movie took another turn...

You know, it is such an interesting movie, one that explores what pain, betrayal, fatherhood, sacrifice, love, desperation, and all could look like. The system, the bank, the nation, and everything have failed Onari, and he can't afford to fail his son too.

One of the things I enjoyed about the movie is that it immediately caught my attention, seeing the way Onari was dressed in his Automotive workshop show's tht he's no ordinary person, it is just so obvious that it's either he's into something else, or has once been into something before. And seeing how his wife died and his son needs urgent treatment, I can't help but ask myself what I would have done too if I were in his position.

Deyemi Okanlawon deserves his flowers. He tried and killed the character as Onari. You expressed everything that needs expression, both in words and in his facial expressions too. He didn't want to become a criminal; he did not want to go back to his past life. He only wanted to do all he could think of to save his dying son.

And you see the banking issue and the unavailability of cash in the country that the movie portrays help the movie feel so real and relatable. If you're a Nigerian, you will even relate with it better. You will go to withdraw your own money, and you will be told to wait or that there's an issue and you would need to come back. And now having all that happen when the life of someone, a dear one, a loved one, is at stake.

An interesting movie, I must say. I love how action-filled it was, even though some of those action scenes could have been executed better. I love the chaos it contains, even though some feels too dragged out. Right from the beginning, they did so well, but the moment a lot began to happen, it started feeling like it was getting too much, and maybe they could have found a way to execute it better since a lot is now happening and new characters are now being introduced into the movie.

Also, the other actors like Femi Adebayo, Nansy Isime, Uzor Arukwe, and many more did justice to their characters too. They played it so well, each bringing in what they're good at and making the movie a success. And I very well understand Onari's situation; he was just fighting against a system that refuses to understand that we can have emergencies. He was just trying to fight to keep his son alive. Those 3 working days may look little, not until you're frustrated, tired, desperate, and in an emergency that has to do with life.

I enjoyed it, no doubt about that, and I would suggest that you give it a watch too.
