Why judge people by their past post?
We all have one thing or the other we aren't proud or boostful about that we posted in the past, things we posted on the media before growing up , things we posted while exploring different media platforms just to feel among and they don't define who we are now.
Growth happens and it happens to everyone, using the current trend about Simi, Simi is grown now and obviously a new person, I don't see any reason why she should be judged by a mere post in the past not even an action.
That was what she posted years ago, a young youth that didnt realize that "the Internet never forgets" and didn't even know she will be a public figure in the future, but she's obviously a better person now and even a mother.
We should judge people by their present behavior and repetitive behavior, judging by the past doesn't seem fair to me, people grow, change and become better versions of themselves.
Growth or past mistakes doesn't take away the fact that she should be held accountable too, she was 24 not 17.
If there are real victims of this her old tweets, Simi should be held accountable and face the law too, because if this was coming from a male public figure, women will demand for that too, until a real victim with good evidence speaks up , it's just a past post to me though.

@therichking , been awhile though, I hope you are good.
Beautiful.
I actually love your take on this...
We grow and we learn. And this is a lesson to everyone to be mindful of whatever they do online, cos like you also said, "Internet never forgets."
And I as well agree that a person shouldn't be judged by their past post, if they've changed. They should be held accountable though.
Very wonderful submission. I have less to say as this captures 80% of what I think. Happy weekend , Vanny.❤️
Good day! I love your summary, but I must differ a little on the Simi case and here's why.During the Mirabel incident, Simi tweeted that all rapists should be castrated. In her comment section, someone pointed out that men deserve justice too when falsely accused.Simi
replied "STFU!" (Shut the f*** up!).
You know Naija "diggers" they unearthed her old tweets from her daycare days, and they're deeply disturbing.People don't even need someone to come forward and accuse her of those tweets; has she really change? her latest reply alone speaks volumes.NAPTIP has now invited her because of those tweets, you can imagine. So we really need to be careful growing up, especially during those exuberant stages of life(public figures most especially), or things might come back to haunt us, just like in her case.Anyway, do have a wonderful day!
I very well get your point sir, talking of the fact that she's even of age as at those times.
I wasn't following the case though, just getting to know that she's been invited over.
But like you said, we all need to be very careful of the things we do/post especially on the internet.
Thanks
