My thoughts on the Ecency App

When I first joined Hive, I was introduced to a number of frontends, but Ecency stood out for me from the very beginning. It wasn’t just about having a place to post and interact, it was the simplicity of the platform and how smooth it felt compared to others. Over time, I began to realize that Ecency wasn’t just a frontend, it was like a whole community on its own.

I have been using Ecency for a while now and the experience has been worth it. One thing that makes it different is the rewarding system through Ecency points. That idea alone makes creators feel seen. It’s like an extra push apart from the Hive rewards, and it encourages consistency. I can say it makes me want to post, comment, and engage even more because I know every little activity counts.

Between the web app and the mobile app, I must say I lean more towards the mobile app. Maybe because I am always on the move and it’s easier for me to just pick up my phone and make a post or reply to comments without having to sit behind a laptop. The mobile app has made Hive feel closer to me. It has allowed me to share my thoughts on the go, no matter where I am. However, I won’t deny that the web app still has its strong points. For instance, navigation feels wider on the web app. You get to see more things at once compared to the mobile app.

If there’s anything I wish could improve, it would be bringing some of the web app’s features fully into the mobile app. Things like advanced formatting options when writing a post are easier on the web version, while the mobile one sometimes feels limited in that aspect. If those could be balanced, it would make Ecency mobile perfect.

Now about the community itself, I think Ecency has one of the most supportive groups of people on Hive. I have seen members step up to answer questions from new users, share tips, and even guide others through small challenges. That sense of support is something I really admire. You don’t just feel like a random user, you actually feel like you belong.

As for the team behind Ecency, I may not know each of them personally, but I have seen some names pop up often. People like @good-karma have really done a lot for Ecency and Hive in general. To keep up with development, updates, and ensuring the app runs smoothly is not a small task, yet they keep pushing consistently. I think that deserves some recognition.

In the end, Ecency is not just an app, it’s part of my Hive experience. It is where I draft, where I post, and where I connect with others. It is also where I have been motivated to keep creating through the little rewards that go a long way. For me, Ecency feels like home on Hive, and I am glad I discovered it when I did.

I totally agree with you. Ecency app ( the one I usually use) is user friendly. I've tried using other frontend but none is seamless like Ecency. Coupled with the the encouragement in terms of reward for using the frontend.

You're quite on point.
