Well, since I'm here, it's just best to do justice to the topic ASAP.

I.

If I'm to choose, well I would definitely chose to stay for a while. And I have my reasons, the reason is not because I feel the job is worth losing myself or my peace over, the reason is because life will always come beckoning and reality won't stop hitting you. I've got rent to pay, I've got to feed, there are family responsibilities, there are personal problems to sort too. And none of this will disappear all because you stopped working or working becomes unbearable.

And like I said earlier, I would only stay for a while, while I use that period to plan, save and quietly look for another job.

The only thing that could possibly make me quit immediately is if it began to affect my health. I don't joke with it,when it starts coming at the expense of my health or I get abused... Then it's a go for me.

II.

I feel that is true. You never know what a person is carrying, what they are battling with and how heavy the weight on them is. I mean, there's more to everyone, you only see/know what they want you to see/know. You won't always know about the responsibility they are carrying, so talking them out of a toxic job may sound easy to you. And finding another job is not always easy, it is not even easy.

So, before leaving or quitting such a job, the individual should do well to consider their financial situation, how toxic the situation around the job is, how it is affecting their mental and physical health and how realistic another job opportunity is

If it is still manageable, then continue for a while as you plan yourself. But if it is affecting and destroying you already, then back out to protect you.
