A Business I Admire but I've never tried// Catering and Decoration

One business that I really admire but never tried and will not try it is catering and decoration. I admire people who are into this business so much. Anytime I see them doing their work, I admire them, the effort, the beauty they bring out in their products.
The way they design cakes can make someone fall in love with the whole event. I have seen many cakes that look like art and sometimes, I will wonder if it is really a cake or just something made for show.

I like how they make small chops like the chin chin, samosa, spring rolls and the puff puff. And the smoothies too, I just love them. I love to eat all these things. They always taste good and are prepared and packaged well. The way they arrange snacks on the trays and serve them during events is just amazing too. Everything looks so attractive and tasty. I admire the creativity that most caterers applied in their work. When it comes to decoration, I also have great respect for those who do it.

I visited an event some time ago and the first thing that caught my attention was the beauty of the hall, how it was decorated with colourful flowers and curtains, everything was just attractive. Those people have a special eye for beauty. They know how to turn a simple place into something elegant and colorful. They make the environment look beautiful and also choose the right colors, flowers, curtains, tables and chairs and arrange them in such a way that people will be wowed. And when it comes to the food, it was just something else, just amazing. You can't look at that food once and walk away,nah!!! the aroma alone and how it was lined in trays will want you to turn and look again and again. I really admire catering and decoration and respect people who are into it.

But as much as I admire this business, I have never tried it before and I may never try it. Not because I don’t like it or that I have anything against it, but because it does not really match the kind of person I am or what I enjoy doing.

Everyone has their own personality and what makes them happy. For me, I enjoy things that are related to technology. I am that kind of person that loves working with gadgets, computers, the internet and all things tech.

My interest is in things like data analysis, web design, cyber security, data science and anything related to tech.
I enjoy working with numbers. I like working with data's and finding meaning in numbers. I can sit with my computer for hours working on a project without getting tired. This is where I find my peace and satisfaction.

So when I look at catering and decoration, even though I admire it, I know that it’s not for me. The processes that involves cooking especially in large quantity, baking, frying, cutting, standing for long hours and planning decoration setups feels like too much for me. I’m more of a sit down and work with my laptop kind of person.

If I try to force myself into catering or decoration, I may not enjoy it or do it well because my heart is not there. It’s better to admire it from a distance and allow those who have the passion and strength for it to shine in their field. Smile🤣.

I have some friends and family members like my aunt who are into catering and decoration and I always tell them I admire their work alot. I love to attend events they plan because I know I will enjoy the food.

Paraventure someone asks me what I admire about caterers and decorators, I will say it's their creativity, hard work, and their food (Me I love food very well).

So even though I haven't tried and may not try catering and decoration, I will always admire it. I will always appreciate the people doing it. They are doing something special. And I will continue to enjoy eating their food. (Foodie me)..
