First time hearing about Rising star

I am still very new on Hive, not even up to three months yet, and every week I keep learning new things from the community. This week I came across something that I honestly never heard about before, and that is Rising Star. I saw it mentioned in the Hive Naija community weekly prompt and it made me curious to check what it is about.

From what I could gather, Rising Star is like a music career game that runs on the Hive blockchain. The idea is that you play to earn real rewards and NFTs while you grow as a musician inside the game. I found that interesting because most games people play outside don’t really give anything back apart from fun, but this one seems different. It allows you to earn while playing, and that already caught my attention.

Since I am new here, I don’t know much about blockchain games, but I like the way Rising Star sounds. You start small like a new artist who is trying to grow, and you do missions to build your career. I read that the missions help you get starbits which is the currency inside the game. People even say you can use the starbits to buy cards or sell them for Hive, which means it can also turn into real value. That part is something I didn’t expect from a game.

Another thing I noticed while checking is the card feature. There are different kinds of cards like instruments and musicians. To me, that makes the game more than just clicking because you actually collect things that can help you go far in the game. I imagine that people who have been playing for a while will have so many interesting cards already.

But since I am a complete beginner, one thing I worry about is if the game will be easy to understand. Sometimes when you are new, everything can look confusing. I hope Rising Star has a clear tutorial for people like me who don’t know where to start. It will be nice if they can also make simple guides that explain step by step for new users.

I also thought of one question I would love to ask the Rising Star team:
👉 Is there a way to join Rising Star and play without already knowing too much about blockchain, because many new people may find that part a bit scary?

I may not have played Rising Star yet, but from what I have read so far, it looks like a game that mixes fun with reward, and that makes it different. I think I might give it a try to see how it really works.
