It's good to appreciate people who are inquisitive, searching for the truth. Curiosity, opens people to ideas and these are things that I find amazing. Their journey, even in the absence of all the answers, shows their respect for knowledge.
However, I feel that we must not be quick to trust anyone who feels that he has the truth. All this can be is a route to dogmatism. If people think they have all of the truth, they can merely cease to listen to other people or even just quit listening to opinions that are divergent from theirs. They can grow overconfident and miss an opportunity to have learned something more.
Well, I think we have to understand that finding the truth is not the end. The world keeps changing. Today, it seemed to be the truth, tomorrow, it will seem different. If we remain open minded, we will continue to adjust and grow. Those people who welcome change and continue asking questions are going to be much more flexible and understanding.
Life has taught me that the journey is more important than the destination. Only those who stay open to the truth are willing to seek, question and learn. Among these stand the kind of people who move the world forward. It's important to appreciate such people and learn from their examples.
On the other hand, growth can be limited by those who feel that they know everything. It is possible that they may fight new information since it is against what they have believed in most of their lives. This attitude can build barriers and misunderstandings. One problem that can arise is that when people are so sure they are right, they may not see the whole picture.
So I will encourage everybody to keep being curious and keep searching for truth. Let the journey be celebrated and we open up to what we may discover. It's in the questions you asks and what you learn on the journey. We keep open-minded, make better decisions, and understand each other better.
