I had no idea of the existence of the Brotherhood community on Hive until Last year while on the Neoxian Server. I met Raymond who had a very sunny personality. Always smiley. Not long after, I got to find out he was the main brains behind the BRO token and the affiliates: LGN, CINETV and GIFU.
Speaking to Ray, I took some time to go read the Brotherhood's manifesto. Ray created the community out of necessity from the reality he had lived. He was a writer for a major paper production but then people got the 'woke' mindset and all of a sudden, Ray was no longer a top of his class writer and communicator but a plain 'white male'. According to his words, he had to deal with very angry females and enablers at the work place.
In the end he had to leave and then he found himself here on the blockchain. He decided to create a safe space where men get to be themselves and earn at the same time. A place where men are not talked down on for being male or white. His vision led to the success the Brotherhood is today. However, like every vision, there is always the stretch.
Years later and Ray discovers that the heart of art is almost extinct on Web3. Ray embarks on another journey. This time, he doesn't just want to create a safe space for his fellow men but for everyone who has the courage to be themselves in a place where it seems like a crime. Ray starts to revamp and so becomes The Brotherhood. Invitations were distributed and sacrifices made. This time, the Brotherhood doesn't just want the walls to be filled with dark humour and saucy banter, but also with flowing emotions and unparalleled creativity. He is always a big dreamer.
Now, The Brotherhood is filled with all kinds of people from different walks of life. The server sometimes chaotic with so many views birth from myriads of experience. A lot of people who come to share and perhaps even learn new things as others relay their own experiences. I would say that is it a place to be where background meets finance and now, craft.
I am not a technical person. I really do not understand how most tokens work and many times need someone to break it into simple terms for me. What I do know is that I use CineTV a lot. For a community, it is quite interactive. I also like how we have people who aren't limited to just giving reviews. Some people tend to talk about technicalities to film production and what to expect. That and awesome reviews from what I will call 'post planning and calculated effort'. Thanks to this community, I have enjoyed some of my weekends to movies.
Still on the Brotherhood, I discovered a lot of Rising Star enthusiasts who helped fuel my passion for the game. A project that encourages and supports musicians on Hive while also incentivizing. Been on the Brotherhood for a year (I think) and while there is a lot of diversity, there is also the beauty of being one of them.
