Hive Without Rewards - Is It Possible?

Would I use Hive without rewards? Honestly, yes, I would still stay on Hive, but maybe not as regularly as I do now, and I have my reasons.

When I got onboarded, one of the biggest attractions I had then was the reward system. I heard about Hive and HBD though I could not really understand the terms because I had zero knowledge about crypto before joining Hive. But I was told that it's a reward system that I will get to understand as time goes on.

Reward system right, that alone motivated me. I started engaging and trying my best to stay consistent because I will be rewarded by doing so 😜😜😜.

But over time Hive became more than just rewards to me. I started seeing Hive like a higher institution I never attended. Every day here is a learning process for me. Through this platform, I have learnt so much, met wonderful people, who have become more than just online friends, Some of those friendships have turned into familylike relationships. There are friends who willingly give their time to teach me, guide me, and encourage me whenever I feel confused or discouraged. So tell me, why won't I stay?

I cannot throw away the connections, values, and growth I have gained here just because the rewards stopped.

Another thing I strongly believe is that, when you leave a place where you are learning and growing simply because there is no more payment involved anymore, it may mean that you never truly valued the knowledge you were receiving. When you genuinely value personal development, you will still be willing to stay regardless of whether money is attached to it or not, knowing that knowledge actually transforms people and also makes people remain.

I have spent many years on Facebook and other social media platforms where I neither had full ownership of my account nor control over my content, yet I stayed there without earning a dime, I stayed because of the interaction and entertainment. But here on Hive, I have full ownership of both my account and my content. Hive is different because it has added real value to my life. Tell me why won't I stay.

My husband, my children, and some close friends can testify that Hive has truly transform me. They always see me with my pen and paper, writing, learning, and improving myself daily. Some people even think I went back to school to further my education, but the truth is that Hive has become that place of learning and growth for me.

So even if there were no more upvotes or rewards, I would still remain here because hive has given me knowledge, self development, meaningful friendships and a sense of belonging, something more valuable than money.
