My Biggest School Mistake

Having to read this week's prompt on Hive Student Connect, looking back now, I can remember so many mistakes I made. They are the biggest mistakes I ever made, but the most common and stupid one was after finishing my secondary school. I will explain clearly.

It true they are mistake we made as a student i really dont know if it only me or other student fall into this category as i said earlier after finishing my secondary i sat down for my WAEC wrote it and also sat down for jamb while waiting for my waec result to come outside my jamb was already out my biggest mistake was i ought to seek enquiries on how to go about it i thought after doing jamb i would be expecting admission i was even boasting that my admission would come outside to people around me not knowing the stupid me havent done their post-utme only a fancy dream i even told my parents i wanted to travel down to the school and check why hasnt my admission comes outside,

I later end up traveling to my aunt place much closer to there i told my cousin but i never mentioned anything about having not write their post-utme i only just said am awaiting my admission i stayed another two months in their place hoping for foolish admission then i was panicking my cousin went as far of asking a friend which she know there to help check the board list she said there was no such name i kept on waiting for a while she advised me i should go jamb office to go change my first choice of school to another that one should be my first choice which i did i just spent another extra money i shoudnt have for no reason.

I was like okay we did it not until one day she just woke up and asked me called my name when did you write their post-utme that you didn’t branch and come our side it was then i knew am foolish i asked am i supposed to write that before gaining admission she hit her forehead and said oh damm i was now the fool that day she laughed me i was feeling embrassed just sweating and wasting my time on admission that woudnt come is not only about writing jamb i also have to write post-utme also to gain admission this makes me have to rewrite jamb again for another two years i stayed at home not until i entered another school which is the current one i am now i would have graduated since if i had done the right thing i would have finished in the school of my choice by now cause of a silly mistake of not making enquiries.
