Hive Is Home.

Well, the prompt ask that we be real and I'm going to do just that. Even though the topic is a simple yet deep one. Talking of if I've ever wanted to quit hive.

The answer is yes, I won't be speaking for anyone but myself. A lot of time I've thought about quitting hive. I've had moments where I question myself, and everything and ask what exactly I'm still doing here.

Let me shock you, there was a time I actually left hive, like I was out of it totally. And I wasn't out for weeks or days, nah. I didn't even come near or open hive for almost two years. It was later I finally had a rethink and vane back.

And one of the reasons is the rewards, we can't...no, I can't lie about that. The rewards is just as important, you spend hours on here, reading, engaging, posting, upvoting, and trying to improve everyday and you want to tell me reward isn't a part of why you're doing all of this... Common. Even though on the long run, I've gotten so attached to #hive and writing and being on here has now become a habit.

Now, back to what I was saying... I left then because I wasn't seeing the turnout I was expecting, I searched and did my best, same. I saw other writers and creators who aren't even doing as much as I do getting massive upvotes and engagement, and here I am struggling with 0.020... you can relate with that feeling right...it's not easy. I began to doubt myself, and wondered if I was ever seen.

But then, here I am. Ever since I returned like two years ago now, I've been active, not very very consistent like now though. And as at then, hive was still within a good price range and upvotes carries some level of weights as well. But presently, hive has gone down and even upvotes has reduced too...but I'm still here.

The various things I'm seeing now won't even want me to quit, talk of the various amazing friends I've had to meet here and on discord, talk of the @sam.hangout and it's discord channel where got to rub minds, discuss various topics, meet new people, do giveaways, get updated and all. Also, talk of the @neoxian city and it's discord channel where we relate like family, get supported as well and all.

Now, back then I don't know about something of this amazing frontends that make user experience easy, lovely and smooth. The likes of @ecency, @inleo, and the likes.

Also, I'm still here because hive has become a part of me. Writing has become a daily habit, so even though it's not that encouraging and hive itself doesn't look like it at the moment, I still find myself here doing things I would have still done if the price of hive is higher. Hive has become a home, somewhere I can't see myself being absent from.

In conclusion, I hope that things can get better and return to the way it was.
