Let's be honest, rewards make it worth it. The reason why we are all here is because we know that at the end of the day, there's something to look forward to. Rewards are very important in anything, they make the struggle worth it, they make the pain and frustration worth it. I remember when I started out on hive with a scrap phone, it was one of those phones that needed electricity to really last for like 30 minutes. Otherwise the battery runs down like the timer of a bomb about to go off. I remember how I really struggled with that phone, coupled with the fact that it was hanging every now and then.

You can't imagine my frustration after writing and then the phone goes off before I get the opportunity to save my work. I do not just have to think about where to see electricity (because obviously we have electricity issues) I would also need to think about how to start writing from scratch. I remember how frustrated I was after I wrote one time, and was about to publish, I mean all I needed to do was just press publish only for the phone to freeze and go off some moments later. I was so frustrated that all I did afterwards was sleep because there was no longer a will to continue. Even after waking up that day I didn't want to even look at my phone, but after I did and saw my potential rewards, I knew I had to keep going.
Imagine telling the me of four years ago that the rewards don't matter. You will need God to convince me otherwise because the only thing I was looking forward to every week was how I would survive the next week. I write every day now, then it was a struggle, now it is a hobby. But even at that, I would rather have a profitable hobby. The rewards don't have to be much for me, just enough to pick my interest and keep me going no matter what.
