FALSE HOPE

I never really knew the reason why they called gambling a game of thieves until I decided to try it out myself. It’s funny how you start with a win and you continue winning and begin to feel you are on top of the world until you begin to lose but you can’t stop playing. I used to wonder why the hell people could not stop and when I started gambling I realized how much false hope it is the game of gambling. It is also the reason why gambling in itself is addictive, you become glued on the false hope it provides.

Some time back I was in need of money, and discovered the guys around me were gambling and making a hell of it. I decided to ask them how they made it, and I was introduced to gambling. I did not like the idea but I needed the money and so I started small. I won the first three times and I thought I had figured it out. I decided to take the ultimate risk, go big or go home. I convinced myself that it would work, even when all my instincts told me otherwise.

I did not go for the normal football betting, I played those high class casino games, and that was how I used 100k which I had been saving for my clearance. To be save I decided to give it to the pros to trade for me and I convinced myself that they know what they are doing at least, but guess what, what you reading this post is thinking is exactly what happened. I immediately felt sick in the stomach, as though I was poured cold water. It felt as though the ground should swallow me alive, but I knew I wouldn’t have lost, if only I told myself the truth.
