If life is a game, we would need strategy to navigate it, and knowing what works would be key to winning. This is why even with the knowledge that life isn't a game and you can only live it once, I try as much as possible to learn from my mistakes and the mistakes of others in making my life decisions, but even with that it is clear that mistakes are unavoidable and just because a decision failed does not mean the decision or idea was useless, it was not just very suitable for that particular problem for some reasons we might never know. If there is one thing I am sure of, it is that just because one idea was bad, doesn't make the next idea good.

For the fact that you missed it once does not mean you will get it right the second time no matter how careful you are. This is just the cruelty of life. This means we can fail at one thing countless times, and the more we fail at it, the more we realise that there is a better way until we get it right. This is how we evolve. This is also why if I get the chance to be 5 years younger again, I would make better decisions I think, the results of those decisions however will determine if they were good or bad. In this case I would say it is the end that justifies the means. Getting 5 years of my life back will obviously change the future, but whether it would be for good or bad will solely depend on my luck.
This does not mean saying everything about life is by luck, it is me saying it doesn't matter how hard working or intelligent a person is, if they do not get the opportunity to showcase their God given gifts, they will die without achieving their dreams. This is also why I think that even though we all get the opportunity to rewind time, it won't be easy as it looks that we will all definitely make mistakes. I think the idea of rewinding time should not be to just overturn past mistakes, I feel it should be an opportunity to find better ways to make things right and try not to make as many mistakes as we made in the past…
