Although I have told this story a number of times, I think I should tell it again because it happened while I was still in the higher institution and I think it could help a struggling student who comes across this post. I struggled a lot back in school because I was the one paying my fees for three out of the five years I spent. Okay I actually spent a total of 8 years in school for a 5 year course because of finances. I dropped out after my second year because my dad ran into serious debts in 2016/2017. I had to drop out to work for three years before coming back to continue in my third year of which my mates were already in their finals. It was one of the hardest moments for me, but I knew I needed to persevere if I must graduate.

To be honest there were a lot of times I felt I was never destined to graduate from school, one of which was in my finals after I had called everyone I knew to help with my school fees but was unable to get anyone, not even one person. I was doing a job that paid me 10,000 naira a month, and was using the money to get textbooks. Now that I look back I can’t even say how I ate most of the time. I remember going days without food and sometimes eating twice or thrice in a week. Yeah that was how bad it was for me, I was living off people around me and doing everything to get through everyday. Hive helped a lot too, which is one of the reasons I am still here. My earnings from hive took care of a lot of textbooks and assignments. I had to form great relationships with some of my lecturers in order to keep attending classes without textbooks or practical fees.
But when my final year exam came, I was sent out by the school authorities because of school fees and at that point I really thought it was over for me. That evening a man came to organize a fellowship in my school which I reluctantly attended. After the fellowship he asked why I was hanging around the school and I explained that I was waiting to beg the rector to allow me write exams the following day and also to make up for the one I missed. He asked how much fees I owed and I told him, then he collected my number and after he left some hours later, called me to go to the bank, meet someone who would settle all my fees. This was the biggest miracle that happened to me to date, I will never forget it in my life because just when I thought it was all over for me, God came through with a miracle.
