Hive Student Connect is a community where students on Hive share their blogs. It is a vibrant space for Hive students to engage, learn, connect, and collaborate, fostering growth and development.

Whether you are currently a student or have already finished school, you are welcome to share your perspective.

This is your chance to express yourself and connect with others in the community.

Each week, we bring a unique theme or idea, something that challenges your mind, invites you, and simply pushes you to have fun while playing with words.

So ready to dive in? Below is the week's prompt and guidelines. Please ensure you read them in order not to make any mistakes.

Don't forget to tag the post correctly and share your entries in the Discord channel and not in the comment section. - Very compulsory!

THIS WEEK'S PROMPT

Title: Lost Opportunities.

Life, as we all know, is full of ups and downs, and in the same way, it has in it various open doors. Now, most of these doors are for good, let's call them doors of opportunities, but these doors of opportunities most times don't open for long. And in that period of time that we hesitated, we just found out the door has closed, and those kinds of doors hardly open again.

We believe we all have had such experiences, ones where we wished we should have done something, invested in something, given to someone, asked a person out, forgiven, applied for a thing, and so many more. Some might look small and not have much of an impact, but we can't deny that we've experienced the big ones too that might have led to a great turnaround for us.

This week, we want to know about that lost opportunity you've had and still think about. What happened? What did you do? What did you not do? What was the lesson you learned from it? If such a door were to open again, what will you do?

Here's a snapshot from my life.
I once had the opportunity of meeting a respected, influential, and well-to-do personality some time ago. I had very close access to him, but based on what I do see people say about how they only promise and do nothing, I decided to be careful with him. Well, it happened that two of my colleagues who couldn't keep their mouths shut let him know what they needed from him, and at the end, he did something for both of them. One of them is now outside the country, while the other one now runs a business that this man opened for her. I missed out, and I doubt if such a program that will bring me close to him again will come.

We ask that you share yours with us too; it can be anything....as you all know... we listen, we don't judge. ✌️
