Title: Things School Never Taught Me but Life Eventually Did.
Some of us are students, while some of us are graduates already, and I'm sure there was a time we believed that school is there to prepare us ahead for whatever life wants to throw at us. So, we paid attention in class, wrote both tests and exams, and came out with flying colors while believing that now we're ready for the real world.
But one thing about life is it will always teach us things and make us experience stuff that might at times change our perspective and all.
Life will bring heartbreak, disappointment, failure, loss of loved ones, unemployment, and a lot of things our way, whereas school didn't teach us how to handle all of that; we were only taught definitions, formulas, and chemical reactions.
A lot of us learned things outside the four walls of the school. Talking of patience, love, temperament, resilience, responsibilities, and so much more that no textbook or school curriculum ever talks about. And these are the things that we learn outside the school gate, yet they become some of the most important things that are helping us navigate life.
This week, we would like you to tell us the things school didn't teach you that life itself did. It can be about anything; feel free to discuss relationships, family, responsibility, unexpected moments, or various experiences and all.
In all honesty, tell us that one thing or those things that life taught you and made you agree that life itself can be or is the greatest teacher.
And, as you've known, this is a safe space. Feel free to tell us about it. It might be funny, serious, simple, beautiful, embarrassing, encouraging... anything at all.
Be original, post a minimum of 300 words.
