What Hive Has Been For Me.

When I first saw this topic, I had to actually think about it for a moment because it is not something most of us stop to ask ourselves regularly, we log in, write posts, engage with people, and move on with our day, but if someone asked me today whether Hive is helping or draining me, my answer would be that Hive has been helping me far more than it has been draining me.

Now, I won't pretend that Hive is perfect, like every platform, there are days when things don't go exactly the way you expect, you spend time writing a post, engaging with people, and sometimes the results may not match the effort you put in, that can be frustrating occasionally.

But when I look at my overall experience, I honestly can't complain, the truth is, I haven't been active on Hive for that long compared to some people, ny account may be old, but my real journey on Hive only started recently, before then, I didn't fully understand the potential of the platform or what it could offer.

Since I became active, I have seen things so differently and one of the ways Hive has helped me is by teaching me new things, i do not just mean learning how to use the platform, i have learned from reading what people from around the world have to say, Sometimes you read a post, It teaches you something new about life, work, relationships or discipline.

I really appreciate this about Hive, Hive has also given me the chance to forget some things I thought I knew, Sometimes we believe things for years without questioning them, then you read a post that makes you think about things in a way.

You may not always agree with everything you read, but it challenges your thinking, and I think that is valuable.

And another thing Hive has done for me is help me grow as a writer, since most of my posts come from community prompts, I have had to write on topics I probably would not have considered on my own, some prompts are easy because they connect with my experiences immediately.

Others require me to sit down and think deeply before writing, either way, the process has pushed me to become more consistent and more comfortable expressing my thoughts.

Beyond writing, I have also enjoyed the sense of community.

There is something nice about sharing your thoughts and having people engage with them, sometimes people agree, sometimes they disagree, but those interactions make the platform feel alive.

Of course, Hive can become draining if you are not careful.

If you become too focused on numbers, rewards, or comparisons, it can take away some of the enjoyment,I think that applies to almost every social platform, for me, I have tried to focus more on the journey than the pressure, that mindset helps a lot.

At this stage of my Hive journey, I can honestly say that Hive has been a place where I have learned, unlearned, improved, and grown, so if someone asked me whether Hive is helping or draining me, my answer would be simple.

So far, Hive has been helping me, not just financially, but mentally, creatively, and personally as well, and for that reason, I believe my journey here is still just getting started.
