Vanity upon vanity, the worldly thing we see or work hard for—when we die, none of it is going with us.Good day, beautiful souls. Thank you for dropping by my blog. Today I will be talking about vanity.
Something happened so many years ago, and I just remembered it today and thought to share it with you guys. There was this woman back then; she is a Muslim and a Yoruba from Nigeria. She got married to a man from the northern part of Nigeria, and one thing about Muslim tradition is that the men are free to marry up to four wives, as long as they can take care of them.
My auntie was one of his wives back then, but this particular Yoruba woman doesn't want to stay with anyone as a co-wife. So any woman that the man married, the Yoruba woman either killed her or made her run mad.
This keeps happening till the man dies, and the woman is in charge of all his properties; that was what she wanted. Oh, I forgot to tell you that my auntie also died of a mystery illness caused by the woman too. So after everything, the Yoruba woman stayed in the house with only her and her children.
Years passed by, and one day she fell sick too, a very strange sickness. They took her to the hospital—no solution. They did traditional too; nothing was working, and her health was getting worse by the day. Before her death, maggots were coming out of her private part.
People went to see her, and she confessed to killing my auntie and her other co-wives. After the confession, she died. Indeed every evil man or woman will reap whatever they have sown. Vanity upon vanity. Thank you for reading through.
