Little Gestures…

Has someone ever done something to you, and you look at them and you’re completely speechless? You have so much to say but nothing comes out of your mouth? Yeah, that was me today.

Today was one of those days when I had to reflect on my life, think about the kind of people around me, and be grateful for the gift of every one of them.

As much as I love my friends, I can be an asshole sometimes. I suck at communication and nothing irks my friends more than that. Only God knows how many times I’ve had to beg them for forgiveness, but I’m glad they haven’t dumped me yet.

Regardless of my shortcomings, they’ve all stood by me, holding my hands as I take bold, scary, and crazy steps. I don’t have so many of them, but the few I have are one in a million and forgive me if I talk about friendships a lot on my blog, I just can’t help it sometimes as I’ve got so many good people in my life.

Like I stated in one of my posts, I just overcame a major challenge in my life. I came out unscathed and victorious.
I decided to have a little celebration today, nothing fancy, just a little dinner with a friend of mine, and boom! The entire pack shows up, uninvited but welcomed.

The look on my face when I discovered I was left out of the entire plan was priceless. They all planned the whole thing and my not finding out even an inch of what was going on makes me feel dumb! There were signs but I missed all of them!

My friends came bearing gifts. Not flowers, not money bouquets, not designers bags and shoes, but little things that made so much sense and meaning to me.

Fun fact about me: I’m big on little gestures. Well, don’t get it twisted, I love grand gestures too. You wanna blow my mind? Please by all means do, but I think I love those little gestures that spring up out of nowhere with a lot of intention. Those kind of gestures that make you smile for a split second, exclaim and you begin to calculate where and how it all began, yeah, that’s my favorite guys.

Every one of the gifts they brought was proof that they were listening. Lol, these crazy fellas were actually listening to me rant about certain things and thought it wise to get them for me? Phewww!

Saying I am grateful would be an understatement, and I’m saving this beautiful memory on this immutable blockchain which is, safe, secure, and feeless.

I didn’t feel like writing today but I just thought to share this with you all and go back to my bubble🥰
