How did we grow so fast?

How did we move from being innocent babies, laughing uncontrollably and throwing tantrums to being adults with huge responsibilities?

This post was triggered by a conversation I had with my sister today. We spoke for a long time, and half the time it was about pursuing one project or the other for our family, and these projects aren't cheap. For a minute, I had to stop and reflect on the conversation we were having.
How did my sister and I move from talking about Disney movies and the dresses we'd wear our dolls to solving real-life problems that involve a lot of money?

Where did our childhood go, and how did we get to this point in life? How?
How did time move so fast that it feels like we were pushed into adulthood overnight?

If there's anything I have learnt since I becoming an adult and becoming self-aware, it's to enjoy every phase of your life. We tend to play extremely safe, so we forget to live a little. We are so fixated on our established routine life that we have come to love more than anything.

The more we hold back from exploring and enjoying the different phases of life, the more regretful we become.

You see that popular statement that says, "Let kids be kids." I totally stand by it. Kids have a long time to be adults, so it's best to let them enjoy their innocence not bombarding them with adult pressures that they’d end up dealing with for a very long period of time.

This advice also goes to everyone and every area of our lives.
Enjoy every phase of your life. Enjoy your teens, twenties, thirties etc., because all of these can end in a day, as you’d be introduced to another phase that you need to learn and adapt to. You’re faced with various responsibilities; some of them might be bigger than you, and just like that the cycle begins again.

As much as life can be pretty tough and can hit us with its “lively” things, we owe it to ourselves to not throw in the towel but to keep pushing, not relenting, and smashing every obstacle on our path. We are way stronger than we think we are, all we have to do is hang in there and pull through.
