The untold story of their song.

This is what you'd hear,
From the boneless teeth of old forgotten neighbours,
Under the moonlight of a story that was never heard,
Of two frail souls who met their death on the same night,
How their love story started and ended like voiceless winds in a stormy sky.

You must have heard their cries,
The swishing sound that hits your ears drum like an aimed pack of arrows,
The shattered hearts and blinking stars that were said to carry the voices of the two lovers,
It was said that the deity had been pitiful,
Granting them a wish to sing to a star and having the songs delivered to one another.

And so, it started,
Their stories like beautiful bells,
Warm and filled with life,
Laughter was an easy medicine to afford by the two souls,
Their life was vibrant, their eyes shone rays of colors that made the rainbow jealous,
Their ears perk up at the sound of the others footstep,
It was a love to see.

But the society values,
How foolish it can be,
Broke the two lovers apart,
One was rich and the other, poorer of the poorest,
They were no match for the fury eyes and volcanic words to them,
Still, they stood tall, never letting go until the parents took one far away.

In the castle that she lived,
As big, mighty, and vibrant it was,
With flowers that smell like him,
None could fill the ache in her heart,
She cried day and night, a lifeless being she was,
Her once beautiful skin became scaly, and her smiles went out the door,
With no hope of coming back for sure.

The young man's life became a curse,
Every breath he took became forced,
Memories of the moments he spent with her fills his guts,
Every night was filled with yearning of a soul he could not touch,
Day and night, he searched until his toes bled,
Still, he never gave up on his beloved.

Years ran by, and so did their love grew,
Miles apart, but their hearts were full.
Though their breath were filled with constant tears of their weary hearts,
With a stronghold of hope of seeing each other,
Their love didn't fail though their body worn out,
Their time became nearer to perfect silence,
The deity knew this and decided to give them a parting gift.

A gift so great it brought back their smiles,
They could both sing and send poems through the blinking stars in the night sky,
And the other would be able to listen to the voice and words,
And so they did, living the rest of their lives in purest bliss,
Until the night death took them to perfect peace.

I don’t know why my mood just went up and down and up after reading this. How hard it must have been to be miles apart from each other but hearts even closer. This was so beautiful to read. Loved every bit of it.

I felt the same, too, while writing. It felt like I was writing a story about two souls who want their unwritten story to be known.

It felt like I could hear their thoughts. How amazing and thoughtful the world would have been if it was a little kinder to them.

It's not just a story. It's a food for thought.

Thanks for your feedback πŸ˜€.
