What does self-sabotaging even looks like.
Let me break it down to the simplest form for you.
A lame man's definition is simply saying you're your own worst enemy. You want something so badly, but after getting it, you do things out of fear to mess it up again.
It's you feeling you do not deserve the good things you're getting. For instance, you got a very good job in your dream company and suddenly you think it was mere luck. You allow either failure of success or failure to make you give less of your potential and then you get fired.
It also happens in relationship, you feel a healthy relationship is too good to be true, so you do things to mess it up.
Do you get it now? Self-sabotage is a dream killer and needs to be uprooted.
Many of us keep asking while we fail even before we try, that's because even in our hearts we've limited ourselves. We ask ourselves if we are good enough a million times that the fear keeps us small.
One step to breaking free is believing in ones ability, accepting compliments and allowing good things come to us without over thinking it.
We also want to avoid perfectionalism, waiting for the perfect time to start. Or postponing when to start.
Your dreams are valid and you can be all you've ever wished to be.
I got inspired by an situation a friend found himself in and I realized, many more people could be experiencing it. Don't self-sabotage yourself, trust that you've got the guts to face and you deserve whatever you've prayed for.
Love and light!
