𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝑩𝒆 𝑨 𝑺𝒉𝒊𝒇𝒕 𝑰𝒏 𝑱𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝑨 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓

Everything you've prayed for can just happen in a year.

Sometimes, it happens when you're not even looking anymore. Sometimes, your hope might be hanging on a tiny thread, but suddenly there's a shift.

You look back and realized everything you once stressed about were aligning itself for a purpose.

If you look intently, you would see that three years ago, you once prayed to be where you are at now.

I remember in 2021, i once visited a popular fashion Academy with my uncle. He wanted to register his child in that school and I wanted to be a student of that academy too, he wasn't ready to sponsor me, so I only wished.

I sat in the reception and dreamt of being a student of that academy and even having my own academy.

After lots of enquiring, my uncle left deciding to enroll his child in another vocational skill center.

I could only hope, wish, dream and pray. Everytime I tried to save, something came up and swept my saving away.

I almost gave up on my dreams and focused on something else, but sometimes, my inner voice kept reminding me that my dreams are valid.

Fast forward to 2025, I sponsored myself through that same fashion academy, including ensuring I did my projects and final projects. I spent nothing less than $1,500 as a bonafide student of that citadel. It was so unreal at first, but it was what it was. Grace found me.

Looking back at it today, I'm deeply grateful that my dreams came alive. I wasn't looking, the school fees I couldn't afford increased drastically and I could actually pay for two classes.

There's indeed time for everything. In a year, I became a graduate in fashion designing, a beader, a pattern drafter, a fashion tutor and owner of a growing brand.

I might not really be exactly where I hope to be, but I'm definitely not where I used to be.

Today, I'm still hoping for better things to come and excel even better than now and I know three years to come, I will look back and realize I'm a step closer that goal.

After darkness comes light!

What have you been praying for? A financial break through? A family of your own? A spouse? Good grades? Good job? Give it time, these things will become a reality soon, as long as you believe in it, put in the work and keep showing up. No matter how little the effort you put may seem, trust me they'll add up when the time is right.

This is your cue not to give up on those dreams. They are valid. The grass is greener where you stand and water.
