Comfort doesn't bring riches, on the contrary, Riches do.

For a struggling adult, I attest to this statement. I've seen in so many ways how comfort kills a person.
I recall my days as a class teacher. The school was close to home which made it easy to get to work. I got comfortable with the job despite knowing I deserved better. A better offer, and better pay.
Every time new opportunities arose, I forfeited them , thinking "I'll never find a job this close to home, I don't want to stress myself."
As time passed, I noticed I was no longer productive and innovative, and it was gradually killing my soul.
At some point, I knew I've outgrown the school and I needed more. I had goals, visions and dreams and the moment I ignited it, without hesitating, I resigned.
I faced deep-seated fears. Fear of the unknown, the outside world, and adapting to a new environment and routine. It was uncomfortable but it paid off. I knew nothing really grows in a comfort zone.
It seemed foolish to people, "how could you leave a job very close to home which you've stayed for so long?" They questioned my decision.
Leaving my comfort zone and seeking new path was daunting, but it eventually paid off. I have now found my passion, nurtured it and I'm currently on a new path to my dreams.
When we get too comfortable, we stop trying, exploring, hustling and putting effort.
Too often, procrastination often pairs with comfort. Because we do not want to stress ourselves, we postpone what should be done today until tomorrow.
You probably might have set goals for the year like "writing consistently" For instance.
But today, you come home tired and you feel like you need some rest. "Oh, I'll write tomorrow," How certain are you that tomorrow, you wouldn't be as tired as you were today? And tomorrow becomes a week, a week becomes a month and gradually your creativity begins to leave you and you begin to battle with writer's block.
If you had pushed yourself just a little that day, even if it was a sentence, the next day another sentence until it became a page, you would have achieved your goals.
When we are too comfortable, we gradually kill ourselves. We become unmotivated to challenge ourselves and in turn we stay stagnant for too long.
The rich people we hear about today, weren't comfortable in their zones. They pushed through exhaustion, and uncertainties.Even when they lost a fortune, and their hope wavered, they kept investing until it paid off.

I hope from today, you'll learn to trade comfort for growth, fear for faith, and stagnation for progress. Every little push can bring significant progress.
Don't let comfort kill your potential. Even when you're unsure, take the leap, push through the uncertainty, and watch how your life transforms. You'll be thankful you did.
Love this topic Wella of course riches can make one comfortable but comfort does not bring riches
In one of the #HHHLive shows, I remember I decided to change the welcoming message to something similar to today's topic... I said to people: "Welcome to the show! Make yourself UNCOMFORTABLE!" 😃
I'm not a very courageous person, but throughout my life I did push myself outside my comfort zone many times... On the other side, people think that if you are doing that more and more, it's easier to "leave the zone", but it's not like that... As I get older, I create new comfortable zones, which are harder and harder to leave...
And, it's so easy to "get lost" in comfortable... That sofa is so soft, the new sweater is so cozy, and that new TV show is awesome... So comfy... 😂
So, get yourself uncomfortable and keep growing!!
