A few weeks ago, I talked about how to make use of condemned engine oil and mentioned different ways to put it to good use. Today, I want to show you a practical method of how I am personally making use of it. Although you can use other kinds of oil or lubricants to solve this problem, I decided to use condemned engine oil.

Some weeks ago, I noticed that whenever I tried to open or close my glass window, it wasn’t sliding freely. It was stiff and hard to pull. I kept enduring it and using force to push it, but on this fateful day, I got tired of applying so much energy just to open a window.

I carefully inspected the frame of the glass window and discovered that the friction between the frame and the aluminium used in fixing the window was the cause. Dust had accumulated along the path where the roller moves, so I cleaned off the dust first.

After that, I used a syringe, filled it with the condemned engine oil, and sprinkled it along the aluminium frame. I then slid the window back and forth, and behold, the glass window started moving freely. I repeated the same procedure on the other window, and it worked just fine.

The movement became smooth and effortless, saving me both time and energy. Since then, I’ve not had any issues with the windows getting stuck again. It's amazing how something people often throw away can be so useful when applied creatively.
Note , in the absence of syringe, you can use a perfume bottle that can spray , as seen in the picture below.

I know you might be facing a similar issue in your house, so you can try out this method and see how well it works for you. You just might be surprised at the result.

Hace unas semanas hablé sobre cómo aprovechar el aceite de motor condenado y mencioné diferentes formas de darle un buen uso. Hoy quiero mostrarte un método práctico de cómo lo estoy utilizando personalmente. Aunque se pueden usar otros tipos de aceite o lubricantes para resolver este problema, decidí usar aceite de motor condenado.

Hace unas semanas noté que, cada vez que intentaba abrir o cerrar mi ventana de vidrio, no se deslizaba con facilidad. Estaba dura y difícil de mover. Seguí soportándolo y usando fuerza para empujarla, pero un día me cansé de aplicar tanta energía solo para abrir una ventana.

Inspeccioné cuidadosamente el marco de la ventana de vidrio y descubrí que la fricción entre el marco y el aluminio utilizado para fijar la ventana era la causa. Se había acumulado polvo a lo largo del camino por donde se mueve el rodillo, así que primero limpié el polvo.

Después de eso, utilicé una jeringa, la llené con el aceite de motor condenado y lo rocié a lo largo del marco de aluminio. Luego deslicé la ventana de un lado a otro, y ¡he aquí que la ventana de vidrio empezó a moverse libremente! Repetí el mismo procedimiento en la otra ventana, y funcionó perfectamente.

El movimiento se volvió suave y sin esfuerzo, ahorrándome tiempo y energía. Desde entonces, no he tenido más problemas con las ventanas atascadas. Es increíble cómo algo que la gente suele desechar puede ser tan útil cuando se aplica con creatividad. Nota: en ausencia de una jeringa, puedes usar un frasco de perfume que pueda rociar, como se ve en la imagen a continuación.
