Appraisal Treat at Domino’s with Friends

In my last post, I shared my worklife experience and talked about how important it is to step out of your comfort zone if you want to achieve something better. That change in my life started after a meetup on 14th November 2024. Today’s post is also connected to that, but this time its about a dinner I had with my friends.

I mentioned earlier that I was not happy with my appraisal, and that was one of the big reasons I decided to change my job. But no matter what, an appraisal is still an appraisal and my friends didn’t miss the chance to tease me and demand a treat. In fact, this appraisal was the biggest in the whole company and my friends kept insisting that I had to celebrate with them.

This friend circle is work related. We all met because we worked in the same company before, and later everyone moved on to better opportunities. Still, we meet at least 2–3 times a month, mostly to catch up on work related things and market updates and sometimes going on some road trips. So, they already knew how unhappy I was with my appraisal. But in the end, my salary still increased, and all they wanted was a party.

Finally, I gave in, and Domino’s Pizza was finalized. On 6th November 2024, we went directly from our offices to Domino’s Pizza in SMCHS. I had eaten there only once before with my family, and it was a good experience. Quality pizza, as expected from an international brand.

This time, my friends knew about a deal that I didn’t. They ordered two large pizzas Creamy Tikka and Chicken Supreme along with cold drinks, garlic bread, and chicken kickers. The kickers were amazing, with great texture and taste. The pizzas were fully loaded with toppings and prepared at an international standard. We really enjoyed every bite. You can see from the pictures how happy we were. Only one friend missed out because he was caught up with some personal matters.

The Domino’s treat was complete, and everyone was satisfied that a part of my appraisal raise had been shared with the group. Honestly, this kind of culture is very common here, and its always fun. When I got home, parathas were being made, and of course, I couldn’t miss those either. I enjoyed them with my family. Maybe thats why I am on a keto diet now because I eat so much hehehe
