Looking back at my days in the corporate world always makes me smile. Those years were filled with deadlines, meetings and office drama, but also with unforgettable moments and friendships that I will always treasure.
One of my favorite memories was Employees Day, the company’s way of giving back and appreciating all the hard work of its people. It was such a special event where achievements were recognized, promotions were announced and everyone’s effort were celebrated. It felt good to know that what we did every day actually mattered and that we were part of something bigger.
That day was extra special because we had a guest speaker, a famous vlogger named Thailand Girl/ TG. His ta was one of the highlights oof the event because it was so real and relatable. He spoke about the challenges of being in the office. He reminded us that while work is important, we should also remember to take care of ourselves and our mental health.
If you’ve ever worked in an office, you know what I mean when I say that misunderstandings are part of the daily grind. There are times when some people they own the company and others who just quietly do their job. But that’s the beauty of working with different personalities, you learn patience, teamwork and even a little bit of humor to survive the day. We may not always agree with our officemates, but at the end of the day we are all there for one goal. To get the work done.
I am truly thankful for those experiences because they taught me so much. I got to know my officemates and even my bosses on a deeper level. We celebrated birthdays together, shared snacks during break time and even supported each other through stressful projects. Those little moments made the workplace feel less like a battlefield and more like a second home.
And of course, friendship formed in the office are something special. Friends may come and go, but there are a few who stay, even if you’re no longer connected to the company. These are the people who check up on you, share life updates, and remain part of your circle no matte where your career takes you. Those lasting friendships are one of the best gifts of working in a corporate environment.
But one important lesson I realized during my corporate journey is this, don’t make your office job your entire life. Yes, work hard and give your best, but don’t forget that life goes beyond those four walls. Opportunities may come unexpectedly, and one day you might find yourself leaving for a better job or a completely different path. And that’s okay, life is about growth and moving forward. Thank you for reading my story. Have a nice day! 💛
It's a nice feeling to be with our closest friends. We feel so much secured and better when we are with them.
Yes, being with our closest friends gives us comfort and makes every moment feel lighter and happier.
I got emotional as I read your post. I was reminded of my first job as a research assistant and the coworker I had, the experiences we shared. It is really one of a kind something that can't be forgotten. We actually still communicate up today. Officemates are people that may come and go but will forever be cherished.
First jobs hit differently because the people we meet there really shape
how we see the work and life. It's rare to still keep in touch so that says lot about how real that connection was.
