A Day of Faith and Family: Celebrating Yoshi Baptism and Yasha 7th Birthday with Love and Traditions

Hello everyone! Yesterday as a very special day for our family as we celebrated two meaningful vents the baptism of baby Yoshi, who is just three months old and the 7th birthday of his big sister, Yasha. These two siblings are the children of my husband’s cousin, which makes the occasion even more personal and close to my heart. What made this day extra special for me was the honor of being chosen as one of Yoshi godparents.

Being a godparent carries a beautiful responsibility. It is not just about being present at the baptism but also about becoming a guide and support system for the child as they grow. For me, it is about being a second parent in times when the child needs advice, prayers or encouragement. I see it as a lifelong commitment to help nurture Yoshi in faith, values and life lessons.

Here in the farm, every celebration is a family effort. True to tradition, everyone helps in the preparation. I assisted with the decorations, the pica pica snacks, and even managed some of the food during the event. Seeing everyone work together reminds me how important community and cooperation are in every milestone we celebrate.

Aside from Yoshi baptism. Yasha had her 7th birthday celebration, which include the 7 candles and 7 treasures ceremony. This was a very touching part of the program because each of us shared a heartfelt message and gave her a special gift. Watching her listen with excitement and gratitude reminded me how important it is to make children feel loved and supported as they grow older.

Many of Yasha’s classmates came, and I really appreciated her class adviser for being so supportive. Seeing them celebrate together made Yasha’s birthday even happier and more special this year.

The day ended with happy smiles, full hearts and lots of beautiful photos. One of which I edited myself using Canva. These memories are something I will treasure, not just because of the celebration but because of the love, teamwork and faith that made it all possible.

Being part of this special day taught me once again the value of family, tradition and commitment. As a godparent, I am inspired to be more present., more prayerful and more supportive of Yoshi as he grows. It truly was a day of faith, love and unity. Something worth sharing and remembering. Thank you for reading my story, Have a nice day!
