Hello my dear Hivers family! I hope everything goes well with you. For today's blog I will share to you our Tattoo session with my closest cousins in mother side.
Me and my cousins booked a tattoo session together and it turned out to be one of the most memorable days we have shared.
The idea started casually over a weekend get together filled with food, laughter and old stories. Someone joked about getting tattoos and within minutes, it stopped being a joke, The more we talked, the more it made sense. We've always seen more likely siblings than cousins, so why not celebrate our connection with something permanent? We decided to have our own choice of tattoo, something meaningful but not cheesy, soething symbolic yet personal.
Our other cousin is a tattoo artist that's why we decided to visit him and booked in an early days since he has so many clients. Walking in together, nervous , excited and a little overwhelmed it felt like stepping into a memory in the making.
Our artist was patient and curious about the tattoo that we want. I am the one who went first. I decided to get a tattoo at my left leg. They cheered me on and took turns documenting the process and shared inside jokes that had us laughing between the buzzing sounds of the tattoo machine.
This tattoo of mine is very meaningful for me because it symbolizes my 2 daughters holding my hand and their birth year indicated.
Next to me is my beautiful cousin decided to get her tattoo in her hands and back of her ears, a bold move that perfectly matches her fearlesss spirit.Watching her calm and steady, I couldn't help but admire her courage. Hand tattoos are no joke, they are delicate, detailed and yes a little painful, I know because I have also in my hands. She chose a simple but powerful symbol on her hand. For ear, a minimal art design that feels both artistic just like her.
Next is my other cousin who chose to have his tattoo in his hands also symbolizing his love to his pets. He wanted something to honor the animals that have brought him comfort, laughter and companionship over the years. A paw print representing his current pets.
By the end of the session, we were sore, a little tired, but absolutely glowing. The ink in our skin was not just an art. It was a tribute to our bond. Getting tattoos together was not just about the design or the experience. It was about creating a moment we'll talk about the rest of our lives.
THINKING OF GETTING A TATTOO?
If you are considering it, Here is our advice:
To anyone thinking about getting a tattoo with their cousins, do it. Not just for the art but for the moment, the bond and the lifelong story you will carry with you forever.
And with that, our cousin tattoo journey comes to a close for now. Thank you for reading my blog.
