Hello silver Bloggers, I've got a very interesting question about crypto;
If I invest in a new cryptocurrency, can I expect it to become as valuable as Bitcoin overnight?
I have been hearing a lot about this relatively not new phenomenon called cryptocurrency. It seems like everyone is discussing it, and some people are making big money out of it.
Now, I am not exactly a financial genius, but the idea of earning extra income surely caught my attention here. I mean who wouldn’t want to make quick money.
Bitcoin is one name that keeps coming up when people talk about cryptocurrencies. It’s more like the boss among all other cryptocurrencies.
The early birds now have more than enough cash to spend on anything they wish for. But here’s the catch – If I invest in a new cryptocurrency will I expect the same level of success?
Well let me tell you what I found out.
Firstly, Bitcoin is a good place to start. It all began in 2009 though it took some time to gather momentum.
Initially, people were skeptical but over time the numbers swelled. When demand went up so did the value. But now one bitcoin is worth a fortune. This did not occur overnight however. Bitcoin has risen to these astronomic heights over many years.
Consequently, can I expect this kind of massive surge in value for other cryptocurrencies?
The short answer is no; here’s why.
Now, Bitcoin had one thing that these new cryptocurrencies did not have; first-mover advantage.
It was the very first of its kind and people were captivated by the idea of a decentralized currency free from any government or bank control. That novelty is hard to replicate.
Besides, Bitcoin encountered much skepticism and technical obstacles on its way. It was the true forerunner.
How about these new cryptocurrencies? They are two a penny now. Every other day, there is a new arrival that promises to be the next Bitcoin. While some may hold potential, most die even before they are fully developed.
This is like choosing the next big thing in stock market; yes you can be lucky but most times you just lose your money outright.
It is not that investment in new cryptocurrencies cannot make you money. Some people however strike it rich. It is a dangerous game though and be ready to lose everything as well.
Bear in mind though that cryptos can swing in value like anything, one minute you are up on the crest of a wave of elation and the next your investment has disappeared into thin air.
So what can be deduced from all this? If you are thinking of investing in a new cryptocurrency, do your own research first.
Find out who the team behind it is, what technology it is built on and the problem they are trying to solve.
Above all however, only risk what you can afford to lose because while the allure of getting rich quickly like Bitcoin may be attractive, reality does not offer such opportunities often.
