Springing into March but savings got derailed
Hello Silver Bloggers and Hello Savers ...
As winters go, this one I would say has been pretty mild, at least in this part of Scotland anyway. Sure, it has had cold spells but overall it has not been very stormy and we have had absolutely no snow at all!
Not that I don't like snow, I just don't like the ice and the resultant frozen slush when it melts.
It is also getting longer daylight hours.
This was about 5.30pm in the park. Not that long ago it would have pitch black!
But it sure does lift your mood and make everything all rosy.
It even looks like spring might even be in the air!
But we are only at the start of March.
March can be so unpredictable!
Plans can get derailed!
This is the wee railway that they have in our local park.
It does run. I think last year they had it running for the odd Sunday once a month in summer.
As you can see, we have got crocuses coming through.
Look at the leaves on the track.
I am not sure about your rail service, but it used to here in the UK, they would cancel trains because it was the wrong sort of snow on the tracks or too slippy leaves.
Any fluffing old excuse!
The squirrels are starting to come out and play too!
I bit like these crypto markets that have been playing around too the last few days!
But we are in the ninth weekend of 2025 and so here is my ninth weekly report of my Saturday Savers Club participation for 2025.

I shall be Using the Penny a Day Savings Challenge
Primary Goal 1 = 667.95 HBD
Well saving HBD our stablecoin Hive Backed Dollars earns 15% APR interest... that is some fluffing good passive income! I wish all income was passive income!
Every now and then, real life scuppers our plans.
I have a couple of clients who have been stalling with their payments.
When I say stalling, the fluffers are down right late, so as I precaution I unstaked my HBD just in case.
Hopefully I can put them back into savings, but for now I am going to show 0 HBD and 0% progress!
As you can see from my account screenshot I really am flying along with 140.691 HBD in my savings pot ...
I might have to raid that in the near future, but hopefully not.
As you can see from the table I am at 21.06% complete. The target completion based on a pure date driven scale is 14.52%.
HBD and Primary goal is nicely ahead of schedule!
Secondary Goal 2 = 0.01095996 BTC
Whether or not I meet this target will depend on the price of Bitcoin.
I decided to buy 3 USDT worth of Bitcoin each and every day...
I have an auto-invest order on Binance...
The amount of Bitcoin I have now is ... still ... 0.00156829
Which numpty forgot to top up the auto invest wallet ....
Uhuh muggins!
So no progress on BTC!
It is fun to collect things .... Now it is $HBD and $BTC.. Of course I collect more!
There we have it, it should be an interesting year!
My SSC goals for 2025 with progress to date against planned progress of 16.44% are :
Goal 1 = 667.95 HBD, To Date HBD, 0% progress.
Goal 2 = 0.01095996 BTC, To Date 0.00156829, 14.31% progress
Week 9 Goals and N2Hs
There are 52 weeks of course in a year, so I do have plenty of time to catch up my primary and secondary goals!
Verdict for Week 9
❌ DERAILMENT
It was a 2/10 week. I am giving myself 1 point for the nice 2 have goals ... and 1 point for writing daily!
Touch wood I can get put the HBD back into savings and will get the BTC autoinvest rejuvenated too!

Good to have the HBD as a back up!
Buying some BTC everyday is a great idea. I must set that up myself!
Oh the back up of HBD is a great piece of mind!
The BTC purchase is a great thing and interestingly enough I see there is a some bitcoin club now on Hive to try and entice bitcoiners onto Hive. I might make a .btc Hive account and join and see what it is all about.

Hey, don't be so hard on yourself! In money there can be good days and not so good days. But this week will be wonderful. I already see that some coins are recovering. Is there really saffron there? I've never tasted saffron! A hug, my friend!

Saturday Savers Club. It was interesting reading your post about it, @tengolotodo. The Penny a Day plan was intriguing. At a glance, it looks pretty simple to start the year. By the end of the year, though, it appears more challenging.
Anyway, I hope your clients get back on track with what they owe, so you can stay on course for achieving your savings goals.
As for Spring, that is a great time of year. The renewal of life and all that entails, i.e. another growing season in the garden!
P.S. If there is ever a train that runs on those little tracks, in your nearby park, that would be fun to read a post about sometime. Is it for children to enjoy a nice time out on it?
As a separate message, I thought I would comment on your BTC savings goals. Earlier today, I posted about a new Hive community - the One Bitcoin Club. You can earn BTC on the Hive blockchain by posting to it.
While you may already be aware of it, I thought I would draw it to your attention, just in case you weren't.

Thanks for this, I had never heard of it. Interestingly created by starkerz who codounded 3speak and the spendhbd/distriator thing. I know for 3speak you had to join to use. I remember when I was into BCH we had a Club 1 BCH.
I certainly don't mind you posting this, far from it as I don't really go out exploring new things on Hive anymore.

The penny a day challenge is simple at the beginning, but heck yes come the end of the year it is very challenging. This is the reason that I get ahead of the game and try to save 2 HBD at the beginning.
Yes I need to find out the days the trains are operating. It would be a fun post right enough!
