Judging Period Week 5: MemeHive Theme Curation Contest

We are now on our 5th week in this curation contest. Today is May 10, the announcement day for those articles that qualify for the contest. As usual, I will begin with counting the articles that used the #MEME published on the MemeHive frontend between May 5 and May 9.

Counting takes time. So far, there are 209 articles published this week. Not unless I am mistaken in my counting, that's a difference of 89 posts compared to last week. Still, though the number is lower this time, it is not easy to choose 5 winners among them.

However, since I have been doing this for five weeks, I am now getting familiar with Hivians who usually publish quality meme posts. To save time, I will go directly to their profiles one by one and check any post related to our contest.

@offgridlife published 23 meme posts, and his favorite themes are Pepe, Bitcoin, and Trump. I find his Trump posts extremely hilarious. 😂 Thanks for the fun, though none of his posts meet the 50-word explanation requirement.

@thephilosopher published 6 meme posts, and I found one that is eligible for this contest, satisfying the 50-word minimum explanation. Browsing her content, I stumbled upon this rare comment from @steampunkkaja:

Communists don't confuse, they conflate, rather deliberately I might add. Whatever your opinion of James Lindsay, he was right on the money when he said "Marxists share your vocabulary, but not your dictionary." To communists, private property ownership (their definition of capitalism) IS cronyism, which is why both that word as well as "corporatism" cause them to disappear in a cloud of dust. They know exactly what they are doing. Their best-kept secret is the belief that everyone being equally poor is preferable to being unequally wealthy, and they hate it when that secret gets out. But enough about why I was excommunicated for being a brutally honest Bolshevik. Source.

@babygirl888 published 11 meme posts, and I selected an article related to marriage and love.

So far, 8 articles are eligible for this week's contest. However, to prevent false expectations, I decided to limit the list below to just 5 entries.

As mentioned last week, we are dropping the humor test and the pump and dump theme, and the meme topics will be broader and will include general interest and socio-economic and political analyses.

Last but not least, Hivians that utilized the MemeHive community in publishing their meme posts deserve the priority in selection.

After more or less three hours in the selection process and taking into consideration all the mentioned factors, below is the list of entries that qualify for this week's MemeHive curation contest:
