What’s up, what’s up, hivers and food-lovers?
Let me take you to this newly opened bread shop in SM Megamall (a huge shopping center at the heart of the city). The bread shop’s name is Bakery Felt.

Why did this particular bread shop catch my attention? Simple. It’s clean and it has a wide range of interesting and unique selections of bread. I must say the mind behind this business is both clever and creative.

Imagine having chili for dessert? Sounds crazy, right? But yes, you heard it right - chili as a dessert! How is that even possible? Well, this innovative bread shop made it happen. Believe it or not, they offer a spicy chili coated in a ball of rich chocolate, placed on top of a sweet, caramelized pastry dough. It's a surprising blend of spiciness and sweetness that actually works! (I just didn’t try it because I am not fond of chilis - hehe). They call this unique selection “Labuyo Love Life” (Chili Love Life). Would you like to taste it? Let me know in the comment section below.

Next in the list that caught my eyes was the “Laing Home-Cooked Meal”. Now, you may ask what is laing? It’s a traditional Filipino dish that’s made from dried taro leaves with coconut milk and other spices such as onions, garlic, onions and even chili).

Here, laing is paired with keso (cheese) and kangkong chips (water spinach) put on top of yet another pastry dough. Again, can you picture how a very unlikely dish becomes your dessert? Will it ever grow on you? Well, the answer remains a mystery until we taste it ourselves. I stayed away from this though. I wasn’t adventurous enough to give it a try. Haha. Maybe next time.

To be safe, I ordered something I am most familiar with - caramel with walnuts. This, I can definitely imagine as a dessert. No doubt, I can have this one. I have always loved nuts. It’s my first choice every time I pick something for dessert. And today is no exception. So, once you made your choice, you can pair it with drinks. They offer coffee and other juices.

They definitely have more options to feast your eyes on!

After ordering, you can sit on the table and check their messaging board. People who may have visited the place have left some short notes and you can read them to pass the time while waiting for your order. If you’re in the mood to write, you can also leave one.

It was an afternoon of discovery and I must say I had fun!
Here’s to trying out new treats and discovering new places.
Until then, savor your day!

Hello there!

I cannot lie, chili and desert sounds good to me. I like how two different elements come together, maybe that is the reason. I am glad you found such place. Maybe next time you'll try something that is out of your comfortzone.

Have a nice one,
@bemier

Oh wow! You are more adventurous than I am. 😆
But I will try to buy one next time. My husband is fond of chili so if I don't like it I can give it to him. That way it won't be a waste.
Thank you for your comment. I'll definitely try it next time. Have a great day!
